Awards dinner notes service of Jelinek, 26 others

The Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce plans to have its 10th annual community award ceremony today at Sultan High School Commons, 13715 310th Ave., Sultan.
The event starts at 5 p.m. with a potluck dinner. Award presentations begin at 6 p.m.
This year’s winners are:
Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year: Elizabeth Hallert Emmons.
Chamber of Commerce Youth Volunteers of the Year awards: Paxton Koenig, Kiara Koenig, Mathew Walker, Delbert Roesler and Paige Copple
Chamber of Commerce Random Acts of Kindness and Radical Acts of Beauty awards: Ray Coleman and Jessica McNeil.
Pointman International Ministries honors Gail Rector.
Sultan Education Foundation honors John Seehuus.
Winters Lake Ladies Club outstanding member: Sue Shawger.
Snohomish County Fire District 5 Firefighter of the Year: Ryan Marshall. EMS provider: Michele Bertholf.
Snohomish County Fire District 26 service awards: Les Putnam, Dave Lang and Andrew Anderson.
Volunteers of America and the Sky Valley Community Resource Center Volunteer of the Year: Regina Taylor.
Sultan Boys &Girls Club awards: Mike Maddock, Geoff Trinkett, Dayna Monteleon-Netherton.
Sky Valley Historical Society honors Frank Aadland.
Gold Bar V.F.W. outstanding comrade of the year: George Wong.
The Sultan Food Bank honors Gloria Sherman.
Sultan Harvest presents an award to Gordon MacDonald.
Sultan Garden Club member of the year: April Gustafson.
