EVERETT — Dawn M. Allen died in a motorcycle crash Wednesday near Everett, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Allen, 38, of Everett, was the passenger on a black Suzuki motorcycle that was traveling northbound on I-5 when it went off the road around 10:21 p.m. just north of 164th Street Southwest.
Both riders were ejected. Allen died at the scene. An autopsy showed she died of blunt-force trauma.
The driver, a 37-year-old Everett man, was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with serious injuries.
Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash, and the driver is expected to be charged with vehicular homicide, Washington State Patrol Trooper Heather Axtman said.
He’s been in the hospital and hasn’t been booked into jail yet, she said.
