EVERETT — More than three dozen firefighters were on scene at a storage facility fire Thursday evening in Everett.
Around 6 p.m. Thursday, South County Fire crews responded to reports of smoke coming from a storage facility on 4th Avenue West in Everett, according to a South County Fire social media post. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered heavy smoke emerging from multiple units in the single-story complex, making it difficult to identify the location of the fire.
After crews used rotary saws to cut open the doors of multiple units, they isolated the flames to three units, the post said. While firefighters extinguished the flames in around 30 minutes, crews then needed to remove the heavily packed contents from the units to find hotspots.
Everett Fire Department and Paine Field Fire assisted with the firefighting efforts.
No injuries were reported. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office, with support from South County Fire’s Prevention Division, is investigating the cause of the fire.
