EVERETT — A fire in a mobile home spread to surrounding trees, a pickup truck and a cargo container on Sunday in Monroe.

Around 6:33 a.m. Sunday, Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue firefighters responded to reports of thick, black smoke coming from a mobile home in the 11700 block of Woods Creek Road, a social media post said.

Due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area, firefighters relied on onboard water supplies until Snohomish County Fire District arrived with a water tender. After 20 minutes, firefighters got the fire under control and prevented the spread to nearby vegetation, the post said. The mobile home, pickup truck and belongings inside the container were destroyed.

No one was inside the mobile home at the time of the fire, the post said.
