SNOHOMISH — A bite during some morning fishing on Blackmans Lake ended with a flipped boat and a 75-year-old man being rushed to a local hospital.
Two men were fishing on the lake in Snohomish around 8:15 a.m. Friday when one of them caught something. They leaned over as they reeled in the fish, and the small boat capsized about 200 feet from a dock, said Fire District 4 Battalion Chief Craig Heike. Other boaters helped to bring the men ashore.
Aid crews had just returned to their stations from a morning house fire up the street, on Lake Crest Drive, when the 911 call came in.
The man was taken to a local hospital with symptoms of hypothermia. An update on his condition was not available Friday.
