MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Five vehicles collided Monday morning on southbound I-5 near 212th Street SW, which backed up traffic about four miles.

The crash, which included a SUV on top of another car, prompted two lanes to be closed until some of the wrecked vehicles could be towed away, according to the Washington State Patrol. Four drivers were cited for following too close.

At least one person was hospitalized for minor injuries, a State Patrol spokesman said.
