EVERETT — The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning on Tuesday for the western slopes of the north and central Cascades above 1,500 feet.
The warning, in place from 11 a.m. Tuesday to 11 p.m. Wednesday, said high temperatures, humidity as low as 20% and winds are combining for critical fire weather conditions.
The warning comes as much of Snohomish County remains under a heat advisory until Wednesday evening, with daytime temperatures predicted to reach 93 degrees in places like Darrington. The latest forecast calls for a high of 88 in Everett.
For those those without air conditioning or other means to stay cool, the county has an updated online list of available cooling centers.
