Prentice praised on 80th birthday

Sen. Margarita Prentice, D-Renton, turned 80 today today and all she got was this little resolution.

Actually, her colleagues sang her praises and then sang “Happy Birthday” to her.

The California native has served in the Legislature since 1988 and is the first Latina elected to the state’s lawmaking body.

Prentice, who was joined by her grand-daughter on the dais, thanked her fellow senators profusely.
