SEATTLE — Seattle firefighters showed up with pumps at a Lake Union drydock to help save a 200-foot ship that was taking on water.
Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore told KING-TV the drydock lost power to its pump, so firefighters were called at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday. A fire department boat, police boat and the Coast Guard also responded.
Moore says they were able to prevent water from reaching the engine room. All the crew has been accounted for, and there was no fuel leak.
