U.S. 2 reopens after three-car injury collision Monday morning

EVERETT — A three-car injury collision blocked both directions of U.S. 2 near milepost 20 for just under three hours Monday morning near Sultan.

Around 9:03 a.m. Monday, troopers responded to a collision at U.S. 2 and Fern Bluff Road, according to Washington State Patrol spokesperson Kesley Harding. First responders transported two people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Around 11:55 a.m., the road reopened, according to a Washington State Department of Transportation social media post.
