Big innings doom AquaSox in loss to Indians

SPOKANE — The Everett AquaSox jumped out to a five run lead after the first 2.5 innings, but the Spokane Indians plated three runs in the bottom of the third and four more in the bottom of the fifth to rally to a 7-5 win on Saturday night.

Brandon Williamson started for the AquaSox and allowed four runs on four hits in 4.2 innings. Williamson walked just two and struck out nine.

Austin Shenton went 2-for-4 with an RBI, Kaden Polcovich had a double and an RBI, and David Sheaffer had a triple and an RBI for Everett (11-6).

Brenton Doyle homered and drove in three runs for Spokane (6-11).

The six-game series between the two teams concludes on Sunday with first pitch set for 5:09 p.m.
