Everett qualifies 13 girls for Mat Classic

Mia Cianega wins at 190 as Seagulls place third at district wrestling tournament.

OAK HARBOR—Everett finished third at the 3A District 1 wrestling championships on Saturday behind Sedr0-Woolley and Oak Harbor.

Led by 190-pound class champion Mia Cianega, Everett will send 13 wrestlers to the Class 3A state meet (Mat Classic XXXVI), which begins Friday at the Tacoma Dome. Shorewood finished fourth, led by individual titlists Elisabeth Norton (105), Finley Houck (110) and Isabella Crave (135).
