EDMONDS – Both pupils surpassed the teacher.

Lake Stevens and Jackson finished 1-2 ahead of Lynnwood Thursday in a Western Conference boys track meet at Edmonds Stadium. Lake Stevens scored 82 points, Jackson 75 and Lynnwood 56. Marysville-Pilchuck was fourth with 51.

Lake Stevens coach Jeff Page and Jackson coach Erik Hrushka both graduated from Lynnwood and ran track for Lynnwood coach Duane Lewis.
