Prep boys soccer: Archbishop Murphy 5, Lakewood 2

EVERETT — Wildcats freshman Brady Henderson scored twice early and completed a hat trick in the second half as Murphy won its Cascade Conference opener. Jalen Crisler’s goal on a penalty kick in the 17th minute made it 3-0, but Lakewood answered with two goals before halftime to keep it close. The Cougars couldn’t find the net in the second half, though, and Christian Thode followed Henderson’s third with a 75th-minute goal off a Gabe Astone assist to put the game out of reach. Josh Bartley had two assists for Archbishop Murphy and keeper Luis Valdes III held Lakewood to the two goals.
