Celebrate it by making a donation

We can all be good neighbors as well as celebrating the 4th of July if we take a portion of the money we would spend on personal fireworks and make a monetary donation to the food banks or local shelters.
The good feeling will last a lot longer than the momentary excitement of a “sparkling display.” Our neighborhood pets will be a lot happier, too.
