Festival of the Bands

The Cascade High School Band and Color Guard was the host for the 20th annual Puget Sound Festival of Bands at Everett Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

The crowd was estimated to be close to 2,000 band members, parents and music enthusiasts. The largest band had 180 members; the smallest band had 40.

At the conclusion of the preliminary competition, 12 bands were selected for the finals. Mead High School of Spokane took first place and the People’s Choice award.

Kamiak High School won third place at the competition.
