LAST NIGHT
• McKayla Huntley and Kendall Swanson combined for 25 kills to help the Lake Stevens volleyball team shock first-place Snohomish in five sets. Monroe’s win over Arlington creates a tie atop the Wesco North standings.
• Shorewood holds on in the third set to sweep Mountlake Terrace and get one win closer to a playoff berth. The Hawks are still in the running for a playoff berth, but will need wins over two of the best teams in the league: Meadowdale and Lynnwood.
• Joclyn Kirton had 15 kills and King’s volleyball team kept its hold on first place in the Cascade Conference standings with a sweep of Archbishop Murphy.
• The Jackson volleyball team swept Mariner to remain undefeated in Wesco South play.
• The Everett girls soccer team avenged its only blemish on its record, beating Shorecrest 2-0 at Lincoln Field. Glacier Peak and Meadowdale both won to keep the pressure on the Seagulls in the Wesco 3A standings.
• In the Cascade Conference, King’s girls soccer team surprised Archbishop Murphy with a 1-0 shootout win over the Wildcats. First-place Cedarcrest beat South Whidbey 2-1 to 1.5 games in the standings.
• In the divisional tennis meets, favorites in the North (Gergo Muller), South (Mitch Williamson) and 3A (Juan Ramirez) all advanced to the semifinals.
• The Lake Stevens girls swim team got a win from its 400-meter freestyle relay — made up of Linsay Vanderhoff, Madeline Summers, Felicity Speiers and Kelsey Fallstrom — as the Vikings edged Jackson 94-89.
TONIGHT
• The Wesco North, South and 3A divisional meets all continue today with singles and doubles semifinals and consolation matches. (Matches begin at 1 p.m.)
• The streaking Edmonds-Woodway girls soccer team, which has won five games in a row, takes on Mariner for a chance to jump into second-place in the Wesco South standings. (Tonight, 7:30 p.m., at Edmonds Stadium)
