Stanwood excavator fined $46,000 for violating “call before you dig” law

A Snohomish County excavator was issued a $46,000 penalty for 10 violations of the state’s “call before you dig” law.

The Utilities and Transportation Commission fined Stanwood-based TT & E, LLC $46,000 for 10 violations of the dig law that occurred in 2016.

One of the violations was for failing to notify a utility of damage to an underground facility.
