American Farmland Trust president to speak in Mount Vernon

American Farmland Trust President John Piotti plans to give a talk about farmland protection at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Washington State University Mount Vernon as part of its No Farms No Food Speaker Series.

Chad Kruger, director of the WSU Mount Vernon Northwest Washington Research & Extension Center, will introduce Piotti, who will also take questions from the audience. The event is in the Sakuma Auditorium at the research center at 16650 Highway 536, Mount Vernon.
