Boys basketball

Justin Chambers, Meadowdale

Chambers, a senior, scored 18 points Monday in the Mavericks’ 77-60 win over Oak Harbor, tallied a team-leading 14 points to help Meadowdale to a 59-53 victory over Lynnwood on Thursday in a 3A Northwest District tournament play-in game, then posted 23 points in the Mavericks’ 52-44 loss to Marysville Pilchuck on Saturday in a first-round tournament contest.

Girls basketball

Raigan Reed, Lake Stevens

Reed, a sophomore, scored 13 points Monday in the Vikings’ 69-27 win over Mount Vernon, then tallied 33 points Saturday to help Lake Stevens to a 68-25 win over Mariner in a first-round 4A Northwest District tournament contest.

Boys wrestling

Kyle LaCoursiere, Lake Stevens

LaCoursiere won the 120-pound championship at the 4A Region 1 tournament Saturday, defeating Glacier Peak’s Parker Hardy 7-2 in the title match. He was one of 14 Vikings to qualify for this week’s Mat Classic XXX, and helped Lake Stevens to the regional tournament championship.

Girls wrestling

Maggie Telford, Jackson

Telford, a sophomore, became the first Timberwolves girls grappler to earn a Mat Classic berth, finishing fourth in the 100-pound division at Saturday’s Region 1 tournament.

Boys swimming and diving

Cole Nouwens, Shorewood

Nouwens, a sophomore, helped the Thunderbirds to a team title at Saturday’s 3A District 1 meet. He placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke and fourth in the 200 individual medley, and was part of Shorewood’s 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams that both placed second.
