SULTAN — A Monroe woman is missing after going over a waterfall Thursday night south of Sultan.
Friends of Jazmine Weitlauf, 22, called for help just before 6 p.m. at a waterfall near Cedar Ponds Lake, off Dagger Lake Road, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Divers, an aerial search team and resources from King County were called in to search pools and waterways downstream from where Weitlauf fell, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
There was no evidence to suggest Weitlauf went into the water intentionally. A few of her items had been found, according to the sheriff’s office. The search continued into Friday evening.
