Jackson | Girls Swimming

Chang, a sophomore, posted state-qualifying times in the 200 freestyle (1 minute, 59.7 seconds) and the 100 breaststroke (1:08.68) in the Timberwolves’ first meet of the season, a 106-64 win over Glacier Peak on Sept. 11.

Lake Stevens | Volleyball

Dahlquist, a senior, collected 28 assists and 13 service aces Thursday in the Vikings’ 3-0 season-opening victory over Cascade.

Kamiak | Boys Tennis

Kim rallied for a 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles to help the Knights edge Lake Stevens 4-3 in a Wesco 4A contest Sept. 10.

Shorecrest | Boys Cross Country

Luu, a senior, set the course record at Hamlin Park on Wednesday, completing the five-kilometer race in 16 minutes, 45.5 seconds in a four-team meet.

Monroe / Girls Soccer

Nelson, a freshman, scored both her team’s goals in the Bearcats’ 2-1 win over Mount Vernon on Sept. 11.

Rachel Shoop

Shorewood / Girls Soccer

Shoop, a junior, scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as the Thunderbirds beat Snohomish 2-1 Thursday.

Jared Taylor

Lakewood / Football

Taylor, a junior, totaled five touchdowns in the Cougars’ 46-3 win over Evergreen. The dual-threat QB threw for 167 yards and two scores, and rushed for 87 yards and three TDs.

Visser, a senior, set the girls’ course record at Hamlin Park on Wednesday, completing the five-kilometer race in 20 minutes, 20.6 seconds in a four-team meet.
