BLEWETT PASS — A 30-year-old Snohomish man died Friday in a rollover on Blewett Pass.

Around 7 p.m., Drake G. Remlinger was driving a Mercedes GLC on Highway 97 when the vehicle lost traction and rolled down a 30-foot embankment near milepost 169, the Washington State Patrol said in a news release.

Remlinger was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 24-year-old Kirkland woman, was transported to Confluence Health Hospital in Wenatchee.

Investigators believe the Mercedes lost control due to weather conditions. The area was experiencing rain at the time of the crash, according to the National Weather Service.
