Lynnwood police: 1 suspect in custody, 1 at large after attempted carjacking

LYNNWOOD — Police have arrested one person and are searching for a second suspect in connection with an attempted carjacking at Value Village on Highway 99 in Lynnwood on Thursday.
Around 1 p.m., police responded to reports of an attempted armed carjacking, which caused Beverly Elementary School to go into lockdown. The lockdown has since been lifted.
A K-9 team took one of two suspects into custody. Police located a stolen handgun during the hunt for the second person. As of 4:30 p.m. Thursday, no other details were immediately available.
