No. 4 Woodinville 55, No. 13 Glacier Peak 54
TACOMA — Woodinville scored at the final buzzer to claim third place in the Class 4A tournament Saturday at the Tacoma Dome.
Brynna Pukis scored a game-high 31 points — fueled by 5-for-7 3-point shooting — for the Grizzlies (21-9), who placed fifth in their first state appearance since 2020. Sammie Thoma added 11 and nine rebounds, and Zoey Ritter contributed 10 points.
The Falcons, who beat GP for the third time this season, scored 16 points off turnovers while allowing just two.
No. 5 Archbishop Murphy 62, No. 4 W.F. West 50
YAKIMA — The Wildcats placed fourth in state by winning two straight games in the Yakima Valley SunDome.
Ava Marr poured in 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting on Saturday, including 3-for-5 behind the 3-point arc. Celine Wright added 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Archbishop Murphy, which used a 28-9 third quarter to overcome a two-point halftime deficit and pull away. Brooke Blachly added 11 points and six rebounds for the Wildcats (25-3), who improved upon last year’s sixth-place finish.
No. 2 Bellevue Christian 55, No. 4 King’s 37
YAKIMA — A day after defeating No. 1 Lynden Christian, King’s hung with Bellevue Christian for three quarters. But the Vikings used a 20-3 fourth period to claim their first state girls basketball title. Kaleo Anderson led the Knights with 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots. King’s struggled to hit shots in the second half, making just four of 23 attempts.
