Winter and the compost pile

As it gets colder, it’s normal for compost temperatures to drop too, especially if you don’t maintain a humongous pile. If you want to keep your compost cooking during the winter, insulate it and keep it from getting too soggy during the rainy months. Try a tarp. Keep turning it and adding material.
