Pinks update

Plenty of humpies being caught on the Strait, where checks over the weekend showed a little under one fish per rod out of Olson’s Resort, but not many locally. No pinks showed in the state creel checks over the weekend at the Port of Everett ramp, where 345 anglers had 15 chinook and 8 coho. The Skagit River pink run is always a couple of weeks ahead of that in the Snohomish system, and fish headed for the Skagit are starting to show for beach fishermen on the west side of Whidbey Island and spots north of us. Checks Saturday at Skyline Marina west of Anacortes tallied two chinook and 15 pinks for 18 anglers, while those at the Washington Park ramp showed 12 chinook and four pinks for 56 anglers.
