Everett schools tighten security after thefts

The Everett School District is beefing up security after three of its vans were stolen from different high schools over the past week.

In each case, windows were broken to gain access, said Mary Waggoner, a school district spokeswoman.

The thefts occurred from Henry M. Jackson, Cascade and Everett high schools, she said.
