Front Porch: Tea offered to cancer survivors in Arlington

Cancer survivors and their caregivers are invited to a tea party organized by the Arlington Relay for Life committee.

The tea is set for 12:30 to 2 p.m. today at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd.

Three more free public swims planned: Three more nights of free swimming are planned by the Marysville Healthy Communities Project.

The first of the free swims is planned for 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, 5611 108th St. NE. The first 200 people swim for free. Other free swims are scheduled for the same time March 12 and April 9 at the same location.

The series is sponsored by The Venture Church, a supporter of the Marysville Healthy Communities Project. The project is a collaboration by the Snohomish Health District and the city of Marysville to reduce obesity and encourage health.

Those who attend the free swims are asked to support the Marysville Community Food Bank by donating a nutritious canned food item.

Pony Baseball League tryouts today: The nonprofit group North Sound Pony Baseball League has announced tryouts for its inaugural season.

They are from 3 to 5 p.m. today at PA Fitness, 13315 38th Ave. NE, Suite C, Marysville.
