The sale of the Everett Herald to Carpenter Media Group has and will erode the quality we, as subscribers, have come to expect! Laying off 10 of 18 staff members is clearly a union-busting tactic! With ownership in a right-to-work state, these owners have exerted their “power” here.
The expectation that the local news and sports reporting will remain the same, it completely unrealistic and impossible. I.e., one reporter to cover Friday night football, when previously there were three! This bad business decision will result in the end of The Everett Herald!
