End of One

The first quarter is over and things couldn’t have gone much better for the Huskies, outside of the Kenny James injury. Washington is really controlling the clock, which is going to be a huge factor in the game.
UW’s defense looks good. It isn’t getting a lot of pressure on Nate Longshore but the secondary looks pretty good. Dashon Goldson made a great play to break up a third-down pass. Interesting that true freshman Donald Butler played middle linebacker on the last series for Tahj Bomar. It wasn’t because of injury, so maybe they’re just working Butler in.
The offense hasn’t been great, but as long as it moves the ball and keeps the clock going, that’s a success. And Carl Bonnell is doing quite well, especially on short passes. Robert Lewis has two catches and may be getting back into the flow.
Word is that Kenny James has a sprained right ankle and won’t return.
