Lake Stevens soccer team advances to state championship game

The Vikings will take on Woodinville in Saturday’s Class 4A title game.

PUYALLUP — The Lake Stevens soccer team will play for a state title after a 2-0 victory over Issaquah on Friday.

The eight-seeded Vikings (18-1-2), will face No. 2 Woodinville (17-2-3) at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.

The Vikings, who are in the state playoffs for the first time since 2018, knocked off No. 1 Skyline in the Round of 16 in a quarterfinal on Nov. 16 to qualify for Friday’s semifinal.
