GRANITE FALLS — Granite Falls freshman pitcher Kimmy Martinez earned her first shutout of the season, giving up just five hits and two walks while striking out seven in a Cascade Conference win. Granite Falls’ Logan Thomas hit 3-for-3 with two runs and stole two bases while teammate Peyton Spencer went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBI, including a two-run single in her team’s four-run fifth inning.
