As I get more and more used to running this blog, I hope to post a weekly roundup of interesting links on current and former players and the high schools in Snohomish and Island counties.
Here’s some that I ran across this week:
Former Glacier Peak lineman John Froland has put on some weight over the offseason, but is still considered on the small side going into his redshirt freshman season at Colorado State. Story
Former Jackson hoops star Brett Kingma is currently touring Italy with the Oregon men’s basketball team. The shooting guard dropped in 10 points in a loss to Scarfati on Saturday. Story
Eric Greenwood, who starred at wide receiver for the Edmonds-Woodway football team before going to Idaho, was cut by the Pittsburgh Steelers this past Sunday. Story
Portland State freshman and Jackson grad Leigh-Ann Haataja had consecutive kills to help the Vikings volleyball team finish off University of Texas-Arlington on Saturday. Haataja had five of the team’s 11 blocks in the win. Story
My Edmonds News is providing live radio broadcast of Edmonds-Woodway football games this fall. Story
