Pooches aplenty ready for adoption at Everett Animal Shelter
Alonso is a sweet young man that needs a new home. He is in need of a house with a fenced yard as he will be to active for an apartment. He is looking for someone that is willing to take him on walks or play with him every day. He will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and a cat free home as we fear he might chase them. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Belle is a sweet girl looking for a home where she can come inside and be a part of the family! She has lived with kids and other dogs. She has never lived with cats and may chase them. Belle has been an outdoor dog so she may take some time adjusting to being inside but she will be forever grateful. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Bowie is a really fun dog! He knows some tricks and is ready for an active home. He loves going for walks and would make a great hiking or running partner. He will give chase to cats so will need a feline free home and a meet and greet with any resident dogs. Come meet this handsome young guy today. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Cooper is looking for a cocker spaniel experienced home. He is prone to ear infections and does not appreciate having them treated. He will need an adult only home with the resources to provide regular vet care and grooming. He seems to get along with other dogs and should be ok with cats after proper introductions. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Manda is a very active Border Collie looking for an adult only home. She cannot live with cats and will need a meet and greet with any resident canines prior to adoption. She can be mouthy when playing and will bark at visitors. Manda will need a fenced yard or to be taken out on leash because she will run off. If you are looking for a hiking or running partner come meet Manda today! (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Max is looking for his last forever home. He has lived with kids but would prefer older kids as he’s older and doesn’t want to be handled roughly. Max needs a fenced yard and his perfect home would have a dog door as, because he’s older he needs to go out and potty on a regular basis. Max has never lived with dogs but should be fine with a meet and greet and has lived with cats (still needs a proper introduction!) (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Mia is very smart! She knows sit, stay, off, down, come, shake, fetch and of course treat! She has destructive habits indoor and outdoor if left alone all day so she will need an active home with people who are home during the day and can give her the exercise physically and mentally that she needs. She loves to go on hikes and even snowmobiles! She will need a small dog and cat free home. She has lived with kids before but due to her big size she may knock them over. She also has a bad habit of eating socks so her new home should make sure she can’t reach them, otherwise she could become impacted and require serious vet care. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Misty is a shy dog that is in need of a patient loving home to help her come out of her shell. She will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs, any kids in the home should be over 10 years old and no cats. Once she is comfortable in her new home she will likely be more active and playful. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Oswald is a very small little Chihuahua. He takes a few minutes to warm up then will become your best friend. Oswald frightens easily so will need and adult home. He should do ok with cats and dogs about his size with proper introductions. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Ricci is a 9 year old Sheltie mix who is absolutely wonderful. If you have ever had a Sheltie then you know how very special this breed is. They are loyal and kind, sensitive and tender-hearted, joyful and vocal. Simply put, they are delightful. Sadly, Ricci has spent most of his life being unwanted and passed around from home to home. Now he’s ready for his happily ever after to begin and nothing is going to stand in his way. Ricci loves going for walks and car rides and he would love nothing more than to be in a home where he could be someone’s exercise buddy. At the end of a long day what Ricci really wants is to love and to be loved….belly rubs included in that. Ricci is a very nice little dog and is hoping for an adult only home with Sheltie experience that will keep him happy and healthy. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Sebastian is a young pup that can be shy when meeting new people. Once he knows you he loves attention and snuggles. He has never lived with children and if there are any children in the home they should be over 13 years old. He has lived with other dogs his size and done well. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
