Nala is about 2 years old and very friendly! She will need an active home with secure confinement when left alone. She does well with other dogs she meets but prefers to be the only companion in the family. Nala does have some prey drive and is sure to chase small furry creatures including cats. Come meet this beautiful gal today. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Scooby is a happy fun loving puppy! Scooby has separation anxiety and will need a home where someone is around all the time. Scooby needs seasoned adopters with experience with separation anxiety in dogs and can help manage it, Scooby also has a fear of the kennel and cannot be crated without professional training and adopters who are willing to take the time and teach him how to properly be crated, which does take some time. Scooby is great with other dogs but is not suitable for a home with cats. He will need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep him from destroying objects when you are gone. Kongs are a great way for this and lots of toys. Scooby really is an awesome pup and is just looking for the right home to take the time and realize how amazing he is! Tea is a sweet girl looking for the right home, and she has been waiting very patiently. Tea needs to be the only pet in an adult only home as she doesn’t get along with other dogs, cats and kids. Tea likes to go on long walks and be very active so no apartments. She would make a great hiking buddy. She is looking for a home full of adventures and travels (she loves car rides!) If you’ve got a big heart and a warm bed Tea is the perfect girl for you! (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Trooper is a super active and is looking for a home that can keep up with him. He has lived most of his life outside so will need some time to get used to living inside. He is an escape artist so his new home should have a very secure fence. He has lived with other dogs and cats and done OK but slow proper introductions are a must. His will need a meet and greet with any resident canines prior to adoption. Trooper has never lived with children so if there are any children in the home they should be over 13 years old. His previous owners said he would sometime escape to chase livestock and birds. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
