Blackie is a strong active fellow in need of some training. He has done OK with other dogs here but likes to be the boss. He might be well suited for a female dog of his size that does not want to be in charge. He will need secure confinement when left alone and plenty of daily activities. He does have some prey drive so will need a home without felines. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Come meet Bruce the Beauceron! This older guy is looking for his last and final home as he has been bounced around quite a bit. He has not lived with other dogs but has met some and did OK. He has not lived with cats or children and it will need to be kept that way. Bruce loves going for walks and is house trained. Come meet this handsome gentle giant today. Ginger is a lovable girl, who needs a gentle hand that will be patient with her while she gains some confidence. She will have to go to a home with kids 12 and up. Ginger does not do well with other dogs and will chase cats, so the home must be dog and cat free. Once she is comfortable with her surroundings, Ginger will happily run and play. Ginger does have an allergy to fleas, so she will need to be treated for that as necessary. Overall, she is a sweet girl that needs a home that will love her and give her lots of exercise. Piper is ready to join a fun active family! She has not had any training and has no manners. She is very smart and would benefit greatly from training. She can jump high fences and if left alone home alone will destroy household items. She cannot be around cats, chickens or any other small animals. She has lived with dogs but would like a meet and greet prior to adoption. If her new home has any children they should be over 13 years old. Please read Owner Surrender form. Tucker is a nice young senior dog! He will make a great walking partner as he has lots of get up and go. He has done OK with other dogs he has met here but will need a meet and greet with any resident canines. Tucker will need secure confinement as he loves to take off on his own adventures which gets him in trouble. Please make sure you have the time and resources to care for this guy. Tucker’s liver is slightly elevated and his thyroid levels are just a little low. He will need this checked by your own veterinarian in about 6 months. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Yukon is here looking for his new home that will make him part of the family. He has lived outside his whole life but the few times he was allowed in he loved it! Yukon wants and needs to be allowed inside he absolutely loves people and craves attention. He has done well with children and other dogs he has met. We are not sure how he will be with cats so slow and proper introductions will be needed. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
