Barkley is a fun-loving pup! He is crate-trained and knows a few commands, such as “sit” and “down.” Barkley has been trained to ring a bell when he needs to go outside to potty. Any children in the home should be over 6 years old and be able to respect his space. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Faith is a very nice, gentle dog. She loves going for walks and just hanging out with her people. She is not a fan of being confined in any type of wire/chain link kennel — she will chew through them. Faith will need a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs, and a feline-free home. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Foxy seems like a very sweet middle-aged lady! She is looking for an adult home to live out her golden years. She will need a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs and should be OK with cats after proper introduction. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Harley is a very nice Husky that has lived with other animals and children. Harley is said to love playing fetch and going for a swim. He loves meeting new people and is house trained. Harley is used to being outside during work hours in a Husky-proof kennel run. He will need a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs. Adopters should have Husky experience. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Mallard is a shy young terrier looking for a calm, predictable adult home. He came in with another dog and did well. He should be OK with cats after proper introductions. Mallard and his brother got in to a bit of trouble regarding some chickens so he will need secure confinement when left alone. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Nitro is a very large, nice Husky/Malamute that has lived with other animals and children. Nitro is said to love playing fetch and going for a swim. He loves meeting new people and is house trained. Nitro is used to being outside during work hours in a Husky-proof kennel run. He will need a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs, and adopters should have Husky experience. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
