PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Carson Tuttle, sr., G, Kamiak
COACH OF THE YEAR
Cory West, Kamiak
After a 6-7 start, West guided the Knights to a midseason turnaround and historic postseason run. Kamiak won 11 of its next 12 games to earn a district title and the program’s first-ever trip to the 4A state quarterfinals.
FIRST TEAM
Carson Tuttle, sr., G, Kamiak
Tuttle, the Wesco 4A player of the year, averaged 22 points and 4.3 assists per game. The Texas A&M-Commerce signee led the Knights to a district title and the program’s first-ever trip to the 4A state quarterfinals.
Bobby Martin, sr., G/F, Glacier Peak
Martin averaged 18.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. He led the Grizzlies to the Wesco 4A title and made a game-winning basket in the 4A state regionals to send Glacier Peak to the Hardwood Classic.
Colby Kyle, sr., F, Monroe
Kyle averaged 19.6 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three blocks per game. The Princeton University commit led the Bearcats to a 17-6 record.
Philip Pepple, sr., C, Shorecrest
Pepple, the Wesco 3A player of the year, averaged 22 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks per game while leading the Scots to an 18-6 record.
Khyree Armstead, sr., G/F, Mountlake Terrace
Armstead averaged 18 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. He led the Hawks to the Wesco 3A title and a spot in the 2A Hardwood Classic.
SECOND TEAM
RaeQuan Battle, jr., G, Marysville Pilchuck
Battle averaged 21.4 points and eight rebounds per game. He led the Tomahawks to the 3A state regionals and the program’s first district title in nearly three decades.
Ryder Kavanagh, sr., G, Lake Stevens
Kavanagh averaged 21.8 points, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
George Reidy, sr., G, Cedar Park Christian-Bothell
Reidy, the Cascade Conference co-MVP, averaged 26.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.0 steals per game. He was named the 1A player of the year by the state’s coaches association.
Lewis Pope, sr., G, South Whidbey
Pope, the Cascade Conference co-MVP, averaged 23.8 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals per game. The Central Washington University signee shot 42.6 percent from 3-point range and led the Falcons to their first league title since 1989.
Erwin Weary, sr., G, Cedar Park Christian-Mountlake Terrace
Weary averaged 25.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 2.7 steals per game while leading the Lions to the 1B state quarterfinals. He was named the 1B player of the year by the state’s coaches association.
