MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A Marysville man was rushed to the hospital after walking in front of a semitruck early Friday on I-5 in Mountlake Terrace, authorities said.

Around 1:30 a.m., a Covington man, 29, was driving the semi north in a middle lane on I-5 near 220th Street Southwest, according to the Washington State Patrol. The Marysville man, 22, walked in front of the semitruck. The truck swerved to avoid him. Its trailer hit the pedestrian.

The Marysville man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, state troopers said. The extent of his injuries was unclear later Friday morning. The semi driver was uninjured.
