Big Red is a beautiful Doberman who at 8 years old still has the energy of a puppy. He is looking for a home with Dobie experience that will cherish him throughout his senior years. Red loves going for walks and car rides but the thing that he loves most is being right next to his people. This boy is a lover and he is ready to share that love with a very lucky family. Red has decided that he doesn’t care for the company of other dogs or cats and he will need to be the only animal in the home. He is a big boy at 80 pounds and, because of his energy, a home without small children would be best. Come meet this handsome guy today! (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.
Blair is one sweet kitty. She will take some time warming up to you but loves to have her cheeks rubbed. She came to us as a stray so we don’t have much history on her. A slow introduction with other cats, dogs, and children would be advised. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
11 year old Coffee is a laid back kind of cat. He’s looking for a sturdy lap to love all 13 pounds of him! He will need a gradual introduction to any resident pets. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
Luke is a handsome young lab looking for a home without any small animals or children. He is very food motivated and needs a home that is ready to start training right away. He is timid at first and will need a home that understands how to work with fearful dogs using positive reinforcement. He lived with another dog his size and did well. He will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs prior to adoption. Luke is currently on Phenobarbital for presumed epilepsy. He will need blood work done at your vet often to check his levels. Mandy is an 8 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix who will melt your heart. She is an amazing athlete and would love an active family that goes for hikes, runs and long walks. Mandy would love a home where she won’t have to compete with other dogs for attention. This girl wants to be your one and only. Mandy is strong and energetic so children in the home should be over 9 years old. Catahoulas are herding dogs and they love to do their job. For this reason we are requiring that her forever home be feline free. Mandy has had a history of urinary tract infections and will need monitoring for that. A healthy diet and supplements for good urinary tract health will help to improve her overall well being. Please read about the Catahoula Leopard Dog prior to meeting Mandy.
