Hayloft Dance Hall &Event Center: 15320 35th Ave. W, Lynnwood; www.hayloftdance.com. 5th Year Anniversary Dance with DJ Merly, April 2. National Competition Dancers will do a short performance. Waltz lesson at 7 p.m.; dance at 8 p.m.; $12.

Marysville Spring Senior Dessert Dance: Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. April 13, Marysville Opera House,1225 3rd St.; 360-363-8450. Music by David George Sextet. All-you-can-eat desserts. Cost is $8.

Northshore Senior Center: 10201 East Riverside Dr., Bothell; 425-487-2441; www.northshoreseniorcenter.org. Line dancing is 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursdays. Ballroom dancing, 1 to 3 p.m. first and third Wednesdays. World Dance Party 6 to 9 p.m. April 8. Admission is a potluck dish. All ages. Dances will be taught in 15-minute sessions and include Bollywood, West African, Mexican, contra/swing, line dance, nonpartner waltz and more. No tickets or reservations needed.

Royal Scottish Country Dance Society: 7:15 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays through May 11, Northwest Ballet Studio, lower level of Lake Forest Park Towne Center, 17171 Bothell Way NE, Bothell; www.rscds-Seattle.org. Beginners welcome, partner not necessary. Members $8; non-members $10. First class free if new to Scottish country dancing.

Skandia Folkdance Society: Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave. W., Lynnwood; www.skandia-folkdance.org. Sammenspil will play their diverse grouping of instruments that include nyckelharpa, flute, clarinet, accordion and pump organ. Frank Brown and Elaine Murakami will review the Danish dances, including Reinlandarpolka, Totur fra Vejle, Den Røde Lue (the Red Hat) and a surprise dance to celebrate April Fool’s Day. Class is 7:30 p.m. with dance 8:30 to 11 p.m. April 1; $15, $10 for Skandia members, kids free.

Veterans of Foreign Wars dances: Potluck dinners 6 to 7:30 p.m. last Saturdays, $5; free lessons 6:30 p.m., music and dancing 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays, Eddy Fukano Band performs, $5; VFW building, 2711 Oakes Ave., Everett; year-round; 425-252-2100.

Washington Dance Club: Ballroom dancing, introductory lesson, 8 to 9 p.m., $12, social dancing 9 to 11 p.m. Fridays, $12, free with dance lesson. The Verve Ballroom, 19820 40th Ave. W, Suite 102, Lynnwood. Call 206-628-8939.
