Island Getaway adds another San Juans sailing trip

If you missed signing up for this month’s Island Getaway, the tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain have added another San Juan Islands sailing trip from Aug. 8 to 10.
The ships will take guests on a sail from Blaine to Coupeville, with overnight stops at Sucia Island and James Island state parks in the San Juans.
Participants can learn to sail, stand watch and take the helm of a replica 18th century tall ship.
Tickets are $270 each. Meals and a bunk are included. Bring your own sleeping bag or bedding. Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. No children younger than 5.
Passengers must board in Blaine by 7 p.m. Aug 7 and spend the night on the ship.
