Turbo the dog and Bluey the cat and others need homes
This handsome boy, Bluey. Is waiting for you to come and meet him. He just arrive here and is still settling into his new routine. But he would love to have a lap to sleep in and lots of toys to play with. He will need a slow introduction to any resident pets and young kids. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
Henry and his friends enjoy playing and curling up in a lap. They have lived with young kids but the fast movements scare them so they’d rather live in a home with older children or adults only. They will need a gradual introduction to any resident pets as well. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
Joey is a very nice senior dog looking for his retirement home. He has received a much needed dental here and has current bloodwork. He will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and we are not sure how he is with cats. Joey enjoys going for slow walks and hanging out with people. His new home should not have many stairs as he is a bit arthritic in the back end. Please make sure you are financially secure for veterinary care as Joey is senior dog and will need more frequent visits. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Lizzy and her friends enjoy playing and curling up in a lap. They have lived with young kids but the fast movements scare them so they’d rather live in a home with older children or adults only. They will need a gradual introduction to any resident pets as well. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)\
Macy is a sweet young adult who is ready to find her family. She likes a calm environment and is very fond of having her cheeks rubbed. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
Maddy and her friends enjoy playing and curling up in a lap. They have lived with young kids but the fast movements scare them so they’d rather live in a home with older children or adults only. They will need a gradual introduction to any resident pets as well. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
Preston is a friendly guy. He came in as a stray, so we do not know how he will do with other pets. He will need a slow introduction to any resident pets and young kids. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
Rally is a lovely, good natured spayed female. She seems to like cuddling into warm cat beds and blankets. She has a playful side, too. Take her home and discover which toys she likes best! (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
If you like fluffy sweet kitties you will be blown away with me. I am a black and white furball of joy! Don’t be offended if I may take some time to warm up to you. Once I do I will love you forever! I came in as a stray so the people here don’t know everything about me, but what they can tell is that I use the litter box, I am fairly quiet and calm, and I am spayed. Come take a look at me, you’ll find I fit right in your heart. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
Turbo is sure a happy dog! He will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and proper introductions with cats. Turbo loves going for walks and running in a fenced yard. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
