Police: 1 injured in south Everett shooting

EVERETT — A man was shot in the neck Friday in south Everett, police said.
Around 11 a.m., police responded to reports of shots fired in the 9800 block of 18th Avenue W, Everett officer Chris Hawley said Friday. Officers arrived to find the injured person had been driven away from the scene in a dark colored sedan.
Soon after, Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies found the car about 2 miles north at 128th Street W and 4th Ave W. Paramedics transported a man with a gunshot wound to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
As of Friday, investigators said they were “putting together what led to the shooting.”
It was unclear if officers arrested a suspect.
