Injuries reported in robbery at Snohomish jewelry store

Snohomish police and sheriff’s deputies were searching the area around Central School early Friday afternoon, looking for a second suspect in a robbery at Sachi’s jewelry store at 1024 First Ave.

One person, as yet unidentified, was injured in the incident and was being airlifted to an area hospital.

A suspect was already in custody, reportedly shot in the arm by a witness as he drove away. The wounded suspect was being transported to Providence Everett Medical Center’s Colby campus.

A second escaped into a nearby neighborhood.

The nearby school was closed for spring break.
