ARLINGTON – A blaze Sunday around 1 p.m. in a fry cooker closed the Smokey Point McDonald’s restaurant at 3529 172nd St. NE and caused about $50,000 damage, Arlington city spokeswoman Kristen Banfield said.
Crews from Marysville and Arlington fire departments contained the fire to the area around the fry cooker, she said.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office estimated the restaurant will need to remain closed until the fire and smoke damage can be repaired.
No injuries were reported.
