EVENTS
Pete Seeger tribute
A Pacific Northwest folk music duo, Hank & Claire, will perform songs and tell the story of Pete Seeger in a free concert at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Everett Public Library auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave.
Seeger’s repertoire — “Turn! Turn! Turn!” “Where Have All the Flower’s Gone? “If I Had a Hammer,” “We Shall Overcome,” “Which Side are You On?” — makes up a key piece of American musical canon. He inspired generations of songwriters, banjo pickers and political activists.
Hank Payne plays guitar. Claire Favro plays guitar, bowed psaltery and mountain dulcimer.
