A preliminary tally of the Washington presidential primary of March 10, 2020. These numbers were updated Thursday, March 12, at 4:56 p.m. The next Snohomish County update is expected around 5 p.m. Friday.

This is a vote-by-mail election, with results certified by counties on March 20 and by the secretary of state on March 27.

These raw vote totals are not the final outcome. Of the state’s 89 Democratic delegates to the national convention, 58 will be proportionally allocated based on the results in congressional districts and the remainder are allocated based on statewide results. In both cases, to earn delegates Democratic candidates must garner at least 15% of the vote.

Besides 13 candidates, Democratic voters had the choice of “uncommitted delegates,” which leaves the decision to an uncommitted delegate who will pick one candidate at the party’s national convention.

Percentages take into account write-in votes.
