LYNNWOOD — A student at Edmonds-Woodway High School was arrested Wednesday after reportedly threatening students at another high school.

The suspect, 14, sent a threatening Snapchat video to a Meadowdale High School student and his classmates, Lynnwood police spokesperson Joanna Small said.

In the video, the suspect reportedly brandished an object that appeared to be a handgun. Police believe the weapon was an airsoft gun, Small said. The suspect’s parents later reported the teen owned an airsoft gun.

The recipient of the threats immediately reported to Meadowdale school administrators, who then contacted law enforcement, according to police.

The suspect was arrested at his home and booked into the Denney Juvenile Justice Center in Everett for investigation of harassment with threats to kill.

Police arrested two other students, at Meadowdale, last month: one for allegedly sending threatening text messages with pictures of guns, the other for investigation of bringing a pistol and ammunition to school.
